Review: Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation

Jordana Cosmetics recently launched the Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation ( such a mouthful), and I received one shade from MakeupMaven to try out and give my review.

I have used this product a couple of times and I decided to give my honest review and thoughts, so let's get to it.

What Jordana claims:
  • Instant Complexion Perfection
  • The Ultimate Multitasker
  • Conceals Dark Spots, Imperfections and Dark Circles
  • Evens out Skin Tone for a flawless look
  • Flexible Coverage- Full to Maximum
  • Long wearing
  • Water Resistant
  • Oil Free

This product comes in 12 different shades to suit a variety of undertones. The texture is soft and creamy and it is also quite pigmented. It comes in a squeeze-able tube which makes it easy to dispense what ever quantity you need.

Swatch...

In the picture below, I am wearing the Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer Foundation in the shade Golden Caramel and I set my face with a powder. This picture was taken with my samsung s4 zoom , and then I zoomed the picture, and took a screen shoot to get a closer look.

No editting, no photoshopping, This is exactly how the foundation looks on me.

My Thoughts: The first time I used this product, I was a little bit disappointed. I expected so much more because it clearly says 2-in-1 concealer foundation. I still decided to use it for some reasons.

What I like about it:
  • It is super light, and when I wear it I don't feel like I have so much foundation on.
  • It is also build-able, so if you want more coverage you can layer it.
  • It's  99% my perfect shade.
Personally, I prefer to use my real techniques miracle sponge to apply and blend this product. This method gives me the best coverage, because I actually dab the product right into my skin. I noticed that whenever I use a foundation brush to apply it, I don't get the best coverage and I may still need to use another concealer. This was what happened the first time I used the foundation with a brush, it didn't give full coverage.

Prior to application, I always make sure I use a primer, that way this product can last about 6 hours before it starts to fade.

Overall:  I can tell you honestly, the Jordana Complete Cover 2-in-1 Concealer & Foundation is OK as an everyday "go to foundation|". So if you want something light weight and affordable you can give this a try.

  2. I tried this product but I don't know if I was unlucky.. It smelt horrible like saliva. It had a scratch pin on the product which I texted to confirm the product. It is light to wear but my face gets oily in a matter of hours and when I am in a hot environment my face looks like the foundation is wanting to fall off.. The mistake I made was to try blending it and adding more power because it literally left my face as it came in contact with the sponge, I had no option but the clean the makeup off my face.. It was so embarrassing because I had a date and I was at the mall.. I doubt if this product is for oily skin or I was unlucky and got a fake product instead of the original.. I haven't disposed it yet, I keep it to remember that embarrassing date I had on new year.

  4. Nice foundation, lovely coverage, poor oil control. I have the Mahogany shade which is the darkest. I think the difference between Mahogany and the shade before it is a lot. They don't really cater to a large variety of shade ranges.
